1. SHIPPING
1.1 Delivery fees vary depending on the size, weight, and location of the products you choose to purchase from us as well as your chosen delivery location. Delivery fees will be calculated and displayed when you checkout but before you purchase your products – this is to ensure that you are notified of the extra cost for delivery fees before you pay for the goods.
1.2 Please note: The courier will require a signature from the purchaser or authorised person at the specified delivery address at the time of delivery. If there is no-one available to sign for a delivery, the parcel will be re-directed to the nearest courier depot. It will then be the responsibility of the purchaser to collect the goods from the designated depot or to arrange for re-delivery at own expense. We recommend that all deliveries be shipped to an address that is attended during business hours, to minimize any inconvenience and additional costs.
1.3 Please note that Caidan Lighting will not be held liable for any consignments lost in transit, damaged in transit, incorrectly delivered, or not received nor collected by the intended recipient / purchaser / authorized person of said consignment. The responsibility and accountability will be directly for the courier company and recipient / purchaser / authorized person.
1.4 P.O. boxes and parcel lockers – The couriers do not deliver to P.O. Boxes (post office boxes) or Parcel Lockers. Please ensure a full and correct address and all contact details are entered in the checkout process. Please also make a note of any and all contact details of the courier company in order for delivery arrangement and/or follow up purposes.
2 REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY
2.1 We will happily refund or exchange goods if you return them within 30 days of purchase. Please ensure the goods are in the same new condition, unused and in the original packaging. You will be responsible for Shipping Costs, Please note that delivery costs are non-refundable for returns.
2.2 Any opened packaging will not be accepted to be returned.
2.3 Under no circumstances will we refund monies before we have received your product back to our premises and checked it as being in the original unopened and undamaged packaging.
2.4 Returns under our 30-Day Money Back Guarantee will be refunded in the amount you paid for the product less the initial delivery charges as set out in your Order Confirmation email and less which you authorize us to deduct off the balance to be refunded to you. We may refund by credit card or direct deposit.
2.5 Refunds take approximately 5-10 days by credit card or direct deposit.

2.7 To obtain a refund, you must first return the product(s) at your own cost.
2.8 All returns will be done at our discretion only – in accordance with the applicable requirements, namely that the items are returned within 30 days of purchase, the item is returned in saleable condition, that is the item is unused, in its original sealed packaging, tags are attached, the item must not be broken or tampered with, the manual and accessories are included, a valid original invoice must be presented and the item is not subject to any exclusion listed below.
3 OTHER RETURNS
3.1 If your order arrives and it’s not what you ordered, please contact either the online support team at sales@caidanlighting.co.za
3.2 You may be entitled to a refund if:
3.2.1 The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality; or
3.2.2 The product is not fit for its intended purpose; or
3.2.3 The product does not match its sample or description.
3.3 Our staff reserves the right to assess the item to determine whether a refund, repair or replacement can be offered in accordance with the consumer guarantees under the South African Consumer Law.
4 DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS
4.1 We recommend that you immediately inspect any goods that are delivered to you, to ensure you are satisfied with the goods ordered, including that the goods are of acceptable quality, and match the description we have provided to you. Please do not sign for the delivery of goods that are obviously damaged.
4.2 If damage is only found upon unpacking, then please contact us as soon as possible.

5 WARRANTY CLAIMS
5.1 If the product supplied to you fails under warranty, you can lodge a warranty claim via email : sales@caidanlighting.co.za
5.2 A copy of your online order confirmation email is required for any return. You will be required to produce the original invoice or other proof of purchase document disclosing the purchase date. All costs of return postage, transport, freight, travelling expenses, are paid by the customer.
5.3 The product must not have been misused, adjusted, modified, or serviced by any person other than the manufacturer of an approved serviced agent from the manufacturer. If you believe an item is faulty, you may have rights to a remedy under the South African Consumer Law. The South African Consumer Law does recognize that the relevant time period may vary by product (or service) depending on the nature of the goods (or service), the price paid and any representations made about the goods (or service). Where you believe an item is faulty, it may be necessary for us to send your goods to the manufacturer or their service agent for it to be assessed within a reasonable period of time.
5.4 If there is a major failure with the item, you may choose a refund, exchange, or repair. If the failure is minor, we will repair the item (or, at our discretion, we may replace the item) within a reasonable time. Where an item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use, the manufacturer cannot provide a refund, exchange, or repair.
5.5 Caidan Lighting requires satisfactory proof of purchase before providing a remedy under the South African Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the South African Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
5.6 To the extent permitted by law, all other warranties whether implied or otherwise, not set out in these conditions of Warranty are excluded and Caidan Lighting is not liable in contract, (including, without limitation, negligence, or breach of statutory duty) or otherwise to compensate the customer for:
5.6.1 Any increased cost or expense;
5.6.2 any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, or anticipated saving;
5.6.3 any loss or expense resulting from a claim by a third party; or
5.6.4 any special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage of any nature whatsoever.
6 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
6.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Caidan Lighting has no liability for, and is not required to provide Warranty Services under this Warranty if it relates to:
6.1.1 Where the products are special order goods;
6.1.2 misusing or abusing the product or any of the accessories included;
6.1.3 Operating the product in a manner that is not in accordance with the Instruction Manual supplied with the product;
6.1.4 Using any unauthorised, non-genuine or non-standard parts;
6.1.5 Tampering with the product in any way otherwise stated in the Instruction manual;
6.1.6 Making mechanical adjustments inconsistent with the Instruction manual;
6.1.7 Not having taken reasonable steps to prevent damage or failure from occurring to the product;
6.1.8 Storing the product not in accordance with the instructions provided in the Instruction Manual;
6.1.9 Neglecting or otherwise failing to maintain the product in accordance with the instructions in the Instruction Manual;
6.1.10 Repairing or carrying out work on the product by any person other than the manufacturer or an authorized representative of the manufacturer;
6.1.11 Accidental damage or damage caused by Force Majeure Events including environmental factors;
6.1.12 Natural discoloration of material due to ultraviolet-light;
6.1.13 Natural impact with hard surfaces or damage cause in the transit of the product or to any damage;
6.1.14 Damage caused by excessive heat or Cold;
6.1.15 Damage caused by solvents, or water entry into the product;
6.1.16 Damage caused by contact with sand, rust, corrosion, fire, vermin and insect infestation, power outages or surges or inadequate voltage or current;
6.1.17 Abnormal product performance caused by any ancillary equipment interference or other external factors;
6.1.18 Damage, failure or defects that occur for reasons that were already disclosed to you or ought reasonably to have been disclosed to you prior to your purchase of the product;
6.1.19 Normal wear and tear;
6.1.20 Calibration;
6.1.21 Freight cost associated with transporting the product between you and the place of purchase;
6.1.22 Products with serial numbers that have been altered or removed;
6.1.23 Consumable items supplied with the product or that are part of the product, such as battery packs.
7 SHIPPING COSTS
7.1 If you wish to return an item back to Caidan Lighting, you are required to pay for all associated shipping costs.

8 DISCLAIMER OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE AND LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTY
Caidan Lighting disclaims any responsibility for the loss of time or use of the product, transportation, commercial loss or any other incidental or consequential loss or damage. Any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this written limited warranty.
